We love Gustavo's and the "Personal" Service they offer us. I like being able to use the Yelp sign in for the waitlist. We hardly ever have to use it, but to sign in when we leave home , it makes me feel very special when they bump us up on the waiting list. Jose was our server tonight and he gives extra special service. They have a good runner that literally "runs" the food out. So many of the servers always smile or say "hola" as they go past. I'm glad that Gustavo's has coupons in the Family Savings Magazine, it gives us extra money for the Queso Dip. Tonight we were there around 8:00 P.M. and it was a bit less crowded. We enjoyed the music and there were at least 3 birthdays celebrated tonight while we were there! Gustavo's crew sings a pretty good "Feliz cumpleaños!"

Excellent value. Ambiance is basically insert Mexican restaurant here... not a complaint it is a Mexican restaurant. Staff is well turned out and uniformed. My booth sat a little low for my taste. I have back problems so I may have noticed it more than most. The important part is always the food and the food was excellent. Salsa was pretty mild but there were multiple hot sauces to choose from so I think it was intentional. It was good just mild. I got the special fajitas and they were outstanding. Well cooked and seasoned. Guacamole was exceptional. Price was excellent for the area under $30 for meal and drink. Overall I was very pleased and I feel I got real value... portions were large.

My fiancé always raves about how good this place is and has to stop by every time he is in town. I finally checked it out and OMG!! The place was packed on a Thursday night but we were able to get a table for 2 quickly. They had live music and the food was sooo good!! I ordered the Arroz con Pollo with sautéed onions and jalapeños and this was the best I've ever had!! It was so flavorful and the jalapeños were spicy. Their chips and salsa were so addicting. We are definitely adding this to our rotation anytime we are in town.

Girl From Texas here.... can I just say awesome awesome awesome. Their food is amazing and I love the ambiance atmosphere and the waiters are very nice and knew the menu like the back of their hand. they told me what to get ask me what is my taste. I was indecisive about my drink of choice and he made me something special and I loved it. when I come back to Louisville , I'm definitely coming back.

Delighted to return to this location for a dine in event on a Thursday evening with a group of 7 friends and enjoyed being in the private dining room. Plenty of parking in the large surrounding lot. Service was excellent and cocktail drink orders from the bar were fulfilled quickly. My choice of a lime margarita was a $5.99 special offer advertised for this visit. Restaurant decor is festive and vibrant. So many things to look at in every direction. Noise level was mild to moderate in our dining room located behind the main dining room. Restrooms were well maintained. Menu is extensive and I chose one of the new menu items of Octopus Tacos Al Pastor from the specialty menu. Flavorful and fresh, octopus had just a few chewy bits but overall was tender and briny. Side orders of rice and beans were great. Overall, very satisfying and the rest of our group agreed and happy with various items, including taco salad, burritos, and molcajete fajitas. Large amount of food with many To Go containers by the end of the evening. Present your final ticket for payment at the front register as you depart. Would be happy to return here again.

The food was mediocre for a mexican genre meal. However the jalapeño margarita was amazing!! I'm new to this drink so I'm not entirely sure how it measures up. But it was delicious in my opinion. The service is also excellent and efficient. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant for the service, environment / aesthetic of lights and decor, and drinks!

Been to this spot several times and service is always on point. The food always out at your table quickly, usually within a few minutes after ordering. We tried the cheese enchilada, the kids, chicken nuggets, margaritas, and three piggy's fajita. The cheese enchiladas was covered in yummy queso- such a good item, you can even get it as a side dish for $3. The child's chicken nuggets, my kids love them, especially getting a side of queso. And my husband and I share the fajitas because there's always so much food. They do get busy, so get there early. Usually it's a quick meal, out within 45 minutes which is nice with children.

Rating 3.5 - 4 stars We stopped by Gustavo's for lunch this weekend after a sporting event. We had a group of 7 and thought it would be easy to get a table here due to its size. We were wrong, Gustavo's is a huge restaurant with lots of seating for larger parties. It's the old Macaroni Grill so has an open air concept and has been brightly decorated with tall ceilings. Very inviting when you enter. It was a cold and rainy day when we went so the restaurant was pretty empty with lots of servers waiting to help. The menu is large and isn't like most Mexican restaurants, has many more options. My family ordered the pork belly tacos, combo with taco, burrito and chili relleno, kids quesadilla, and kids cheese sticks and fries. We started with the chips and salsa. I really enjoyed the chips. You could tell they were fresh, they were lite and crispy. The salsa was a little bland for me. Our entrees arrived pretty quickly. My husband really liked the pork belly tacos, meat was cooked extremely well. My combo was okay / I probably should have ordered something unique but I stuck with my regular order. The taco was crisp and the beef was good. The chili relleno was bland. My son devoured his cheese quesadilla, and said it was just as good as at our neighborhood Mexican restaurant (which is a big compliment). The cheese sticks and fries were the last meal to arrive and they were way overcooked. Kids meals were $8 each, which is a little pricey. Loved the ambiance of the restaurant and will probably try again if we're in the area.
